Leeds United are back in action on Monday night, when they travel to the Hill Dickinson Stadium for the first time to take on Everton.
Daniel Farke’s side have won back-to-back games and will be looking to keep this positive momentum going, with the Whites potentially having an opportunity to go 11 points clear of the relegation zone should West Ham lose their game against Sunderland on Saturday.
Alternatively, by the time Farke’s men arrive in Merseyside, the gap to the bottom three could be cut down to five points, further increasing the pressure on United going into the game.
Former Arsenal player Paul Merson has had his say on Leeds’ upcoming match, with his verdict being one that will surely excite Leeds supporters.
Paul Merson predicts Leeds to defeat Everton
Dominic Calvert-Lewin will be particularly looking forward to the game against Everton, with the Englishman set to face off against his former employers for the first time since leaving over the summer.
If Merson’s latest prediction regarding Leeds is correct, it looks as though Calvert-Lewin will have the last laugh over the Toffees.
In his latest prediction article for Sportskeeda, Merson said, “This will be a good game. Everton were outstanding against Aston Villa. But they will miss Jack Grealish in this game.
“Leeds showed a bit of inexperience when they went gung-ho and lost 4-3 to Newcastle, but they would have learned from that experience. They are a team that are on the rise, and I fancy them here.
“Everton have now gone four games without a win on home turf. Not long ago, they were slaughtered by Brentford. I think Leeds win this,” with the former England international going on to predict a 2-1 win for United on the road.
With Leeds already beating Everton in the reverse fixture thanks to a last-minute winner from Lukas Nmecha, Farke will be confident that his side, who have improved so much since then, can replicate this success again.

Data suggests Leeds hold multiple advantages over Everton
Everton themselves are coming off the back of a big win in their last match, with the Blues beating the high-flying Aston Villa by a goal to nil.
However, according to the stats provided via DataMB, the data suggests that although Everton are a more physical and defensively sound team, Leeds are better in possession and going forward, whilst also providing more of a threat on the counterattack.

Whilst Leeds have picked up some valuable points away from home in recent weeks, they have only won one away game all season, which was against Wolves all the way back in September.
To ensure they stay up comfortably, Leeds need to start picking up more wins away from Elland Road, and beating Everton at the Hill Dickinson Stadium is far from an impossible task for this United side, given the rich vein of form they are in.
