The Leeds United team that started the season, and the current side are very different. Not in personnel, but what has been going on in games and off the pitch.
Even though the Whites were one of the sides tipped to go down, they hade a mixed start to the season. The first few months saw them avoid the relegation zone, with their home form being their biggest strength. But since they went on a losing streak around November, things changed. With their backs against the wall, and Daniel Farke on the brink of being sacked, the team stumbled on a solution.
The switch to 3-5-2 changed everything for the club; from the way they played to how players performed on the field. Since the switch, some Whites players have played their best football this season like Jaka Bijol, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Brenden Aaronson.
David Moyes gives Leeds United verdict
All three will have to be at their best on Monday night when the Whites visit Everton. Calvert-Lewin will face his former club for the first time since signing for Leeds United – the striker has nine goals in the Premier League this season. Everton boss David Moyes says he will be ready for his opponents when they visit, having watched them a lot since they turned the corner in December:
“Well I think Leeds United have got a good team, they had at the start of the season, I watched them quite a lot last year in the Championship and they played really well when they were getting promoted.
“They’ve added to it, they’ve strengthened that’s for sure and I think Leeds are a good team and are certainly in good form at the moment.”

Monday night will be a tough clash
Heading into the game on Monday, both sides are coming in with different form – Everton have won just two games in all competitions since the first week of December. Leeds will look to have the upper hand when the two sides meet at the Hill Dickinson stadium.
However, injuries will be a huge bother for both sides; Everton will be without Jack Grealish, while the Whites have a list of doubts ahead of Monday night. This fixture presents another great opportunity to put some points on the board as the clubs vie for safety. The win over Fulham last weekend will be a huge boost in this direction.
