Leeds United faced a frustrating match on the road, ending in a scoreless draw against Bristol City at Ashton Gate on Saturday.
After celebrating back-to-back wins following the FIFA international break, the Whites entered the game with momentum from two home victories: a 2-0 win over Sheffield United and a 2-1 triumph against Watford.
Daniel Farke and his team sought to build on that success against a mid-table Bristol City side. In the first half, Leeds registered eight shots compared to Bristol City’s three, but neither team could find the back of the net by halftime.
In the second half, Leeds United made one more attempt, bringing their total to nine, while Bristol City managed just one shot. Despite efforts from both sides, the match ended without any goals.

Illan Meslier acknowledged that the Championship match between Leeds United and Bristol City was a “tough” one. Although Leeds United played away from home, they fought hard, but the game ended in a 0-0 draw.
Despite the result, Leeds United maintained their third-place position in the table, trailing league leaders Sunderland by five points.
“It’s a tough place to come and to beat [Bristol City],” Meslier said (h/t MOT Leeds News). “It’s a point, a clean sheet of course we hoped we could do better, especially in front of the goal but it was a solid performance against a strong and solid team…
“In a place like this you never know, we all try to find the player in the free space so we just tried to move their block, it was not easy because they play pretty deep you know, they park the bus but it’s not the first team we’ve faced that play like this. We have to get used to it because it will happen again for sure, but it’s a good challenge to be honest, because we like the challenge, and we keep going.”
Despite the draw, Leeds United remain just outside the automatic Premier League promotion spots. They trail first-place Sunderland by five points, with Burnley holding the goal differential advantage over Daniel Farke’s side.
With the tight race, a win over Plymouth Argyle, who sit at the bottom of the Championship table, would be ideal. It’s a match the Whites should aim to take all three points from. A draw or loss would be a tough result for the team as they look to avoid the Championship Play-Off for a second straight season.
