Injury update on huge Leeds United star

Leeds United are flying high under Daniel Farke this season in the Championship.

After 13 games, the whites sit in third place. Leeds United are three points behind league leaders Sunderland, and one point behind second placed Sheffield United with a game in hand.

Daniel Farke’s men are on a long run; they have only lost one league game this season and boast one of the best defensive records.

The Leeds United attack has also been great, but have struggled with recent injuries. Patrick Bamford and Joe Gelhardt in particular could miss the next few games.

Largie Ramazani picked up an injury after only lasting 14 minutes in Leeds’ 2-1 win over Watford in October.

Now, the speculation is that he may miss up to six weeks of action. According to Dr. Rajpal Brar, who was speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds, the attacker could be out for a while:

“This is a Grade 3 rupture.

“The late November to December aspect looks to align with the four to six weeks timeline.

“He will surely miss training for the next two weeks and should eye a return on the other side of the international break.”

Ramazani out will be a huge blow for the club

Largie Ramazani has had a great season after coming in to replace Crysencio Summerville. The Belgian forward has three goals and an assist in his eight games in the league so far.

This recent injury could be the reason why Daniel Farke used to substitute the 23-year old early in some games. The Leeds boss explained the reason why he preserves Ramazani:

“It was more or less his third start and once it’s such an intense game he was struggling a bit. In terms of the workload you will find at the moment not many wingers who deliver less than this distance in the whole league.

“I don’t mean this as criticism, we have to work on his physical point. We have wingers who are out, we can’t afford another injury. This was the plan, especially against Norwich, they deliver always the games with the most distance covered and distance intensity in the whole league.”

Ramazani’s injury is another worry for Leeds, and could add to the reasons why Daniel Farke wants to bring this winger on a free transfer.
