Leeds United fans are keen on seeing some new faces at Elland Road this summer. One of the first names everyone wants to see come through the door is Manor Solomon.

After such an impressive loan spell, the forward has won the hearts of the Elland Road faithful. Solomon came to West Yorkshire at a low point in his career, and re-invented himself.

10 goals, 12 assists and scoring the winning goal to lift the title on the final day is a campaign every Leeds player will be envious of.

Leeds have been pursuing a deal for Manor Solomon since the season ended. And now, this latest news presents a huge stumbling block. According to Graeme Bailey, the 25-year old now wants a chance to prove himself to Spurs:

“I am told that Solomon still thinks he can break into the first team at Tottenham. He has gained so much confidence from his spell at Leeds and now feels fully adapted to English football.

“He is a very interesting option, Spurs like him and are ready to let him prove himself during pre-season.”

The Solomon saga takes another turn. It went from him keen on joining, to considering a move to Marseille and now, he wants to stay in London. This is a saga Leeds United need to move away from.

Leeds do not need a player who has no commitment

Signing Manor Solomon after this huge revelation is just bad business. The player has already changed his mind after publicly showing his desire to move to Elland Road permanently. The club would hope to not experience a similar situation to Jack Harrison.

Harrison left on loan in consecutive seasons and has been trying to force a move away since. This kind of presence in the team and the locker room is not something Leeds should bring to the club.
