International midfielder ‘caught the attention’ of Leeds United scouts – he would be a solid signing for Leeds

With Leeds United marching towards earning promotion to the Premier League, the rumours about their probable new signings have been picking up pace every day. Leeds are expected to have a big budget to overhaul the team and have a squad ready for the rigours of Premier League football. The Whites are expected to bring in strikers and a new goalkeeper in the summer. Other areas of the squad will also get addressed and there is expected to be a particular emphasis on bringing in an attacking midfielder or two. And it seems their scouts have picked up the scent of a potential target.

The struggles of Leicester City, Ipswich Town and Southampton in the Premier League this season have shown how hard it is getting for promoted teams to just survive in the top flight.

Leeds United will face similar challenges next season if they get promoted and they have been warned that it could take spending as much as ÂŁ150m to have half-a-chance of survival in the Premier League.

The Whites are expected to go to work on targets as soon as promotion is secured and it could take a monumental effort from Leeds to just stay alive in the Premier League next season.

Brenden Aaronson’s form this season has made it clear that Leeds need an attacking midfielder in the next transfer window and it seems that Leeds scouts have already identified a potential target.

23-goal contribution attacking midfielder on Leeds United radar

Pavel Sulc has been in terrific form for Viktoria Pilsen in the Czech Republic this season and has even looked good in the Europa League for his team.

He has scored 12 times and registered eleven assists in all competitions this term and his performances have attracted the attention of a few clubs, including in the Premier League.

Aston Villa and Tottenham are amongst the sides who have been keeping tabs on the midfielder and he has also been linked with a move to the MLS.

According to Efotbal.cz, Leeds United scouts have also been keeping an eye out for his performances after he caught their attention earlier in the season.

Leeds are looking at several players across Europe and are assessing a few targets who could come in and perform in the Premier League for them next season.

Sulc has caught their attention and his performances are being closely monitored by the Whites ahead of potentially returning to the top flight this season.

Leeds are yet to enter into any negotiations for him but the summer could be the right time to hold talks over the possibility of signing the 24-year-old.

He will have a year left on his contract at the end of the season and Viktoria Pilsen could be keen to sell him in the next window to avoid losing him for nothing next year.

He is the kind of player who could surprise Leeds fans if he arrives at Elland Road

Getting a player from Viktoria Pilsen is not the kind of glamour signing Leeds fans would be anticipating if they return to the Premier League at the end of the season.

However, Leeds do not have an unlimited budget and Sulc is exactly the kind of smart signing that could help them stay in the Premier League without blowing up their finances.

The 24-year-old has an eye for a goal, is creative on the ball and has performed in Europe as well this season. He has earned 10 international caps for the Czech Republic.

Interest from Aston Villa and Tottenham also suggests that other sides also believe he has the talent to succeed in the Premier League.

Leeds have not made any concrete move for him but he could be available at a knocked down price this summer given his contract situation.

The Whites will wait until promotion is secured, but getting their hands on a player of Sulc’s ability could show the kind of intent they would have in the market next summer.
