Every Leeds United fan is anticipating the club to do some serious business this summer. After securing another season in the top flight, a lot of work needs to be done.
In recent years, newly promoted clubs that survive their first two to three seasons in the top flight end up becoming regulars in the Premier League.
Recent examples are Bournemouth, Brighton and Fulham.
After surviving this past year, the Whites must make sure they are competitive enough to go into another season of top flight football.
Daniel Farke mentioned in the final weeks of this past season that the club needs to match his ambition. The Leeds boss has already confirmed that he is willing to stay at Elland Road long term.
Leeds United tipped to ‘spend big’ this summer
Last summer saw Leeds United spend over £100 million on their return to the Premier League.
They got real value from that outlay, as they brought in 10 first team players. Most ended up becoming starters and gave great impact as the club managed to avoid relegation.
Former Premier League scout Mick Brown is tipping the club to ‘spend big money’ this summer.
“It looks like Leeds are going to spend big this summer”, Brown told Football Insider.
“They want to show the manager that they can be ambitious and back him with big signings, especially after he essentially told them he would walk away if they didn’t.
“Leeds did really well last season to stay in the Premier League, but they want to build on that, and sometimes that means you have to spend big money.”

How much can Whites spend in upcoming window?
With the new Squad Cost Ratio (SCR) rules in effect soon, it is believed that Leeds United will not have much spending power.
But when needed, the club has shown that they are willing to spend within the limits of constraints. Last season was a great example – even with PSR struggles, the club managed to spend £100 million.
Depending on which players they can offload in the coming months, it is likely Leeds spend around the same money this summer.
Some fans may expect more, but this is the reality of a club also spending big on investments off the field.
In any case, it is not the amount of money spent, but the quality that the recruitment team can bring in.
