Leeds United fans will be pleased with their recent form. Since the Fulham game, Daniel Farke’s side have completely turned around their fortunes.

After that late defeat at Craven Cottage, the Whites have won four out of six points. The win at the Molineux was a turning point; Leeds won their first away game and scored their first open play goals of the campaign. Last week’s draw against Bournemouth was also a huge positive, Daniel Farke’s side could have won all three points, but conceded a late equalizer.

This weekend, the Whites host a very good Spurs side. Thomas Frank’s team have only lost one game this season, and are sitting in the top four.

Tottenham will obviously be seen as the favourites for Saturday’s game. But some feel Leeds can spring a surprise, especially at Elland Road. Alan Shearer has predicted that we could see a draw this weekend:

“With Leeds playing at home and Tottenham being away in the Champions League during the week, it won’t be an easy game. I’ll go for a draw.”

Spurs’ record after playing midweek European games has not been the best over the last year. They also haven’t won a game immediately before the international break in over a year. They also lost to Bournemouth before the September international break.

Leeds’ home record has also been solid this season; the Whites have been able to get results against Everton, Newcastle and Bournemouth. The last game against the Cherries could easily have ended in a win.

What Thomas Frank has said ahead of the game

Spurs have had to come back from their last two games to get a result. Last weekend against Wolves, they needed a late goal for a draw. And midweek in Europe, they needed an own goal to get a point.

Thomas Frank has spoken on how getting back into games could be a good sign for his team.

“I’m happy that we again got back into the game, I think that’s very positive. I think until 2-0 it’s fair to say, and especially in the first half, Bodo was better than us.

“It’s extremely important that we got back from 2-0 down against Brighton, we got back against Wolves and we got back again today.”
