Leeds United fought back from a goal down to produce a remarkable performance to beat Wolves 3-1 at Molineux earlier today, with three of their new signings getting on the scoresheet.
Daniel Farke’s side conceded an early goal to Wolves, and for a side that hadn’t scored from open play in the Premier League, that was a huge setback. However, Leeds fought back and scored three first-half goals to seal the points before the break.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin answered his critics with a brilliant headed strike to score his first goal to level things up, and Anton Stach converted a sumptuous free-kick to give the away side the lead in the Black Country.
Noah Okafor, who was a constant threat all game, scored his first for the Whites and the team’s third against Wolves to more or less seal the three points in the first half itself.

‘It’s a dream come true” – Noah Okafor expresses his delight after the big Leeds United win

Okafor admitted that it was a dream come true to get his first goal in the Premier League, but stressed that he is more pleased to help Leeds get the win away from home.
He insisted that the team have a great spirit, and the quality of training under Farke is of very high quality. The winger believes Leeds must aim higher despite taking one game at a time.
“I am really happy with the three points. It was an intense game today. I was happy to score and help the team. It’s a dream come true to score in the best league in the world”, Okafor told the Premier League Productions.
“I am really happy about the three points and the team performance. I think the first goal we were unlucky – the first chance they scored from. It was important to keep calm and keep our confidence.
“The atmosphere and feeling in the team is incredible, and also the quality of training is really high.
“We can improve a lot, but of course, we must take it game by game. We want to go far. We have to set our goals high and see where we are at the end of the season.”
Leeds have a solid start to the season
With seven points in five games, Leeds have made a good start to the campaign, and they even solved some of their goalscoring woes at Wolves.
Leeds will face tougher opponents than Wolves, who have lost all of their opening five league games, but the performance at Molineux married grit with some silk.
Goals for Calvert-Lewin and Okafor will boost their confidence, and Anton Stach also got on the scoresheet after being the team’s creative hub at the start of the season.
The team will be in much better spirits over the next few days when they will prepare for a home game against Bournemouth next weekend.
