Leeds United have the decision to make on Jack Harrison, who returned to the club this summer after a two-year loan spell at Everton. The winger has been heavily involved in the club’s pre-season preparations, but there are still question marks over his future at Elland Road.
Whites boss, Daniel Farke, has challenged Harrison to win back the support of the Leeds fans, who have been soured by the way he left the club when they were relegated from the Premier League in 2023 and never made an attempt to rebuild the bridges with the supporters in the next two years.
The winger got heavily jeered by Leeds fans during their game against Manchester United earlier this month, and the supporters do not want him back despite suggestions that he could remain at Elland Road beyond the end of the transfer window.
A return to Everton has been rumoured all summer, but so far, there has been no movement. Harrison has played heavily in the pre-season games and appears to be preparing for life at Elland Road in the 2025/26 campaign.

A return to Everton for Jack Harrison is still on the cards

Harrison would be open to returning to Everton, and the Toffees have been linked with an attempt to sign him later in the transfer window.
The Merseyside club are currently in talks to sign Lyon winger Malick Fofana as David Moyes pushes to add more pace and verve to their attack ahead of the new season.
However, according to Times reporter Paul Joyce, the pursuit of Fofana has not killed the prospect of Harrison returning to Everton in the ongoing transfer window.
It has been claimed that Everton manager Moyes wants to sign two wingers before the end of the window, which keeps the prospect of the Leeds man returning to Merseyside alive.
The Toffees boss is believed to be an admirer of the Leeds winger, and Harrison played more football once the Scotsman took charge of the club last season.
Leeds are also closing in on signing a winger in Feyenoord’s Igor Paixao, and could still make a late move to secure a deal for Tottenham winger Manor Solomon.
Harrison needs to leave Leeds
The winger has been involved heavily in pre-season, but Leeds are actively trying to strengthen their wide areas in the ongoing transfer window.
The club are aware the fans are unlikely to show mercy towards Harrison once the season starts and he is in the middle of Elland Road next month.
It led to Farke voicing his opinion about the winger having to win back the supporters, but that is unlikely to do much to change the feelings towards the player.
Harrison’s exit is the only solution as the relationship between the supporters and the player is not going to improve any time soon.
