Jack Harrison set for new long term deal

Leeds United forward Jack Harrison is expected to hold talks with the club over a new contract in the coming weeks.

According to Leeds Live, the club and the player are eager to continue together and there is optimism that he will renew his current deal which ends in 2024. Harrison was the subject of transfer speculation this summer, with reported links to Newcastle and Tottenham.

The 26-year-old joined the club permanently in 2021 after three loan spells from Manchester City. He has gone on to make 180 appearances for Leeds since then, quickly becoming a fan favourite and senior member of the squad.

“I enjoy being here at the club, I love being here, I’ve been here a long time now and I’m almost part of the furniture here now.”

“It’s a great place to be, I’m happy to be here and I think my agent is coming over in the next month to sort something out with Victor. So we’ll see what happens.” Harrison said at the club’s training camp in Spain.

Leeds should tie Harrison down to a new contract; he’s a very good player with his prime years ahead of him and a fan favourite at Elland Road. His stay in the team will only help mentor the club’s young core of attackers. Great business if it happens.
