There are a number of Leeds United players at the club that Daniel Farke has no plans for. The Leeds boss made his intentions clear to some players over the weekend.
Patrick Bamford was the first casualty; Farke revealed that he had a private conversation with the 31-year old to discuss his future. Bamford will not be in the club’s plans next season.
Illan Meslier is reportedly also a player Farke is keen to replace. But no concrete offer has come in for the Frenchman, so the club is okay with keeping him around.

Leicester City hold interest in Leeds United star
According to Ben Jacobs, Leicester City are assessing a move for Leeds keeper Illan Meslier. The Foxes are braced to lose their first choice keeper Mads Hermansen this summer and will need to find a replacement if that happens.
Meslier is one of the names listed; the 25-year old is free to leave the club this summer if a good offer arrives.
Pundit feels it would be a good move

Sky Sports pundit Don Goodman was assessing the potential transfer, and thinks Meslier moving to a new environment could do a lot of good for the Frenchman.
“It’s an interesting one,” Goodman told FLW.
“I think obviously if you could get the absolute best version of Illan Meslier then that would be good, but obviously he’s on the back of a very difficult season where, ultimately, Daniel Farke – who is extremely loyal to players but particularly goalkeepers – felt the need to replace Illan Meslier towards the end of last season,” he added.
“There were just too many errors that were costing Leeds United points so it’ll be an interesting one, as I said sometimes goalkeepers can have seasons where they’re not quite at their best,”
Goodman thinks Meslier can bounce back and follow a similar path to Burnley keeper James Trafford, who is set to move to Manchester City.
“James Trafford is a perfect example of that, in the Premier League struggled with Burnley – ultimately got left out – and then bounced back last season and broke all manor of records and became a very much sought after goalkeeper by clubs higher up the food chain than Burnley,”
Meslier move benefits every party
With Illan Meslier’s contract up in less than 12 months, it would be beneficial for Leeds to sell him this summer. They might risk losing him for free if they wait too long. Meslier would get to start over with a new club, and the Whites get some profit for PSR this summer.
