Jayden Bogle’s “biggest club” comments sure to rile up Sheffield United – It adds more fuel to the fire

Jayden Bogle’s move from Sheffield United to Leeds United last summer has continued to rankle people at Bramall Lane. Chris Wilder has clearly been unhappy about the defender joining the Whites and recently admitted that he did not decide to sell the right-back. What has irked the Blades fans even more has been the fact that Bogle has been one of the most important players for the Whites this season. The 24-year-old is almost irreplaceable for Daniel Farke and has started 31 out of Leeds’ 33 league games this season. Ahead of his return to Bramall Lane on Monday night, Bogle’s words should further rile up the Blades supporters.

Bogle joined Leeds last summer and has been one of the signings of the season in the Championship. He wasted little time to settle into the team and has been the best right-back in the second tier this term.

He has missed just two league games for Leeds this season and his presence at right-back has been one of the key reasons why the Whites sit at the summit of the Championship table at this stage of the campaign.

The defender is set to return to his old stomping ground of Bramall Lane on Monday night when Leeds take on Sheffield United and Wilder has already warned that he will be treated the way any other opposition player.

However, he may get a fiery reception from the Bramall Lane faithful when he gets on the pitch given what he has said about Leeds since joining the Whites last summer.

“Leeds are the biggest club I have played for” – Bogle’s words won’t win him any favours at Sheffield United

The Blades are still smarting from seeing Bogle join Leeds last summer and it is certain that Wilder is not enjoying him being a key player for the Whites this season.

The defender will be returning to Sheffield on Monday night for the first time since joining the Whites and is sure to get a tasty reception from the fans.

However, the Blades fans won’t enjoy what he has said about Leeds who he insisted are the biggest club he has played for in his career thus far.

He stressed that it is clear how big Leeds are when you arrive at Elland Road and there is the extra pressure to do well as the Whites are expected to win every game they play.

“Leeds United are the biggest club I’ve played for. You feel it straight away”, Bogle said on the No Behaviour Podcast.

“The atmosphere, when you pull up to the ground, you just sense it. It’s got a winning feeling to it. The club knows how to win, all it wants to do is win.

“It’s pressure, but it’s good as well. You need that pressure.”

Bogle’s words will ensure a fiery reception on Monday night

The Leeds and Sheffield United game is building up to be one of the biggest games of the season given the two sides’ place in the league and their individual form.

The Whites have shifted gears in the last few weeks and are threatening to run away with the league. However, the Blades are keeping up pace and are just two points behind Leeds.

With the two teams set to get at each other at Bramall Lane, Bogle’s words about Leeds being ‘the biggest club’ he has played for will surely rile up the home fans.

His decision to leave them and join Leeds has already made him unfavourable in Sheffield but his ‘biggest club’ jibe will now further add heat to an already simmering game.

The atmosphere at Bramall Lane is likely to be electric on Monday night and the defender is expected to receive a very tasty reception from the fans.

Bogle and Leeds won’t care what the Blades fans feel as long as they can leave the stadium with a positive result under their belt.
