Jayden Bogle has missed the last three Leeds United games, including the 3-1 FA Cup win over Derby County, due to an injury. Jermaine Beckford has indicated that the defender may not return to the starting eleven as soon as he is fit to play.
Bogle played a huge role in Leeds getting promoted to the Premier League last season, and started the first 18 Premier League games before getting benched in the 0-0 draw at Liverpool.
He has been injured since then. However, Leeds have not missed his presence due to James Justin’s performances in the right wing-back role in Bogle’s absence.
The former Leicester defender has seamlessly replaced Bogle in the team and scored against Derby in the win at Pride Park on Sunday.
Jermaine Beckford sounds out a warning for Leeds United star Jayden Bogle
The former Leeds striker pointed out that Justin’s performances have not allowed Leeds to feel the absence of Bogle, who has been a key figure since last season.
He stressed that the former Leicester star has got over his tough start at Leeds and has been brilliant both going forward and in defence for the Whites in the last few games.
Beckford conceded that Leeds look as good with Justin in the team as they were when Bogle was holding down the wing-back role earlier in the season.
Beckford said on TNT Sports: “He’s done really well, Jayden Bogle’s been out for a few weeks now with an injury, and this is what James Justin’s been brought in for, he’s been brought in as a like-for-like replacement.
“He’s had a little bit of a tough time at the beginning of his [Leeds] career because Bogle’s been in great form going forward, especially with the injury to Bogle.
“Leeds United still look as strong as ever down that right-hand side, so I’m really happy for him to get his first goal for the club.”
Bogle will find it hard to dislodge Justin
Leeds boss Daniel Farke will be able to provide more clarity on whether Bogle will be fit to feature against Fulham at Elland Road on Saturday.
However, the manager is unlikely to be too concerned if the defender requires more time to get back to full fitness, as Justin has looked solid in his absence.
In fact, the former Sheffield United man may not necessarily return to the starting eleven straightaway once he is fit to play, as Justin has done more than just impress.

The Leeds manager praised the former Leicester star for his performance against Derby and insisted that he has been playing well in the last few weeks.
Even if Bogle is fit, it would be hard to justify dropping Justin due to the form he is in, so the former Blade may have to wait for his turn again.
