Daniel Farke has made good use of the Leeds United squad this season, but there have been some questions.
Dan James and Wilfried Gnonto, who were behind Summerville last season, have now become key players in the first team. Brenden Aaronson, who was out on loan and looked on his way out of the club, has also become a key contributor.
Some of the summer signings have been great for the team, including Ao Tanaka and Joe Rothwell. But some players have had to leave the club because they were not in the first team plans.

Jermaine Beckford says Leeds United star is not suited to the club
Sam Greenwood was signed from Arsenal’s academy back in 2020, but has so far failed to break into the first team.
Jermaine Beckford says that Greenwood does not suit the current Leeds United squad under Daniel Farke:
“He’s a very creative player but his set pieces are fantastic. His distribution is really clever. While he was at Leeds, in PL2, goals and assists, every single game, they were coming thick and fast, on a regular basis.
“He didn’t get the same opportunities at Leeds, he just wasn’t quite suited. The pressure at Preston is not going to be as much as it is at Leeds, the expectation is not going to be as much as it is at Leeds United.”
Last season, when Greenwood joined Middlesbrough on loan, Daniel Farke was pleased that the forward was getting playing time:
“We are happy that he is progressing in the right way. When you send someone out on loan either he comes back or he increases his value and I think it was the right decision to send him out. He is a young player with a lot of potential.”
Greenwood should be allowed to leave this summer
When Greenwood returns from his loan deal, he would have a year left on his current contract. With Leeds thriving under Daniel Farke and looking to seal Premier League promotion, the striker would not be in the first team plans.
Leaving would be the best decision, considering how well Greenwood performed at Middlesbrough last year. He could end up on the same path as Leif Davis, who left Leeds for playing time and is now a Premier League star.
Davis, who is now playing for Ipswich Town, has been linked with a move to one of the best teams in the league.
