Leeds United brought in 10 new signings during the transfer window. But the fans still think the club did not do enough after their failure to sign an attacker at the transfer deadline.

The Whites can be proud of the business they have done so far, with how some players have performed. Gabriel Gudmundsson has fit in like a glove, and Sean Longstaff has surprised many with his last game against his former club Newcastle.

Lucas Perri has also kept two clean sheets in three Premier League games so far.

It was revealed over the international break that Anton Stach was second in chances created in the Premier League after three games. The dynamic midfielder has been one of the better performers in a Leeds uniform this season.

Graham Smyth has revealed his surprise at the statistic, considering how little the team have created overall in the league this season.

Speaking on the Inside Elland Road podcast, Smyth said: “Does it surprise you that Anton Stach is placed number two in the Premier League’s chances created table? Only Bruno Fernandes has got more chance created this season than Anton Stach.

“That baffled me. And they haven’t been big chances, you know, like the big golden ones that a player has to absolutely put away. But even the fact he’s created 10, I know he takes set pieces, too, that surprised me a little bit. I think I’d struggle to think of 10 chances we’ve had this season.”

New set piece coach could work wonders

There were reports during the international break that Leeds will be adding a set-piece coach to the team. The appointment would be the first time under Daniel Farke that the club have made such an addition to the backroom staff. Leeds feel they need every advantage possible to help their survival bid in the league.

And with how great Anton Stach is at dead balls, a very good set-piece coach could squeeze around 10 goals from set-pieces this season. The loss to Arsenal showed how important is to be potent from such situations.
