Leeds United fans are highly expectant of some serious transfer business this summer. This comes in anticipation of the club’s return to top flight football.
Elland Road is set to host Premier League games again, and Leeds are keen on making that last. Club chairman Paraag Marathe promised that there will be some spending during this window as the club aims to maintain their top flight status. The Whites will benefit from a sizeable budget, with investments from Red Bull and the 49ers.

So far, Leeds have been targeting players from the Premier League, and some big clubs in Europe. Some signings are in the pipeline. Graeme Bailey has told TBR Football that the Whites will be a ‘threat’ to some Premier League clubs when it comes to spending power this summer:
“But Leeds are using the Red Bull resources, the 49ers. Leeds will be a real threat to some Premier League teams, especially those near the bottom.
“They’ve not been in the Premier League for a couple of years but their backroom, the way they’re sorted out, they’re a high-calibre club with the way they operate off the field, people shouldn’t forget that.
What do Leeds do with these funds?
It is pretty straight forward; fill the squad with good players. That benefits the team in multiple ways. It increases the level of quality in the squad, and helps Leeds become even more competitive. The Premier League has become increasingly difficult to navigate by newly promoted clubs, and signing quality players helps a lot.
Getting a quality squad of players is also a great failsafe. If the team gets relegated, the club can either decide to keep these players and win promotion after a season, or sell them to reinvest in the squad.
