According to The Athletic, Leeds United midfielder Tyler Adams could be out for the rest of the season.
Adams suffered a hamstring injury in training last month and has been absent for five league games. The midfielder has missed Leeds’ recent games against Crystal Palace and Liverpool. There was optimism that he could return later this month, but the latest update is not optimistic.
Adams has been great in his 26 appearances in his first season at the club. His presence in the midfield has been key this season. Leeds have conceded 18 goals in their last five games without him in the team.
Ahead of the game against Fulham, Leeds manager Javi Gracia refused to answer whether Adams would feature anytime this season:
“He’s a player who plays in a position where we don’t have many other options. It’s an absence in an important position.”
This comes at a very bad time for The Whites as they have a run of crucial fixtures against Leicester City and Bournemouth after Fulham. Leeds sit just two points above the relegation zone going into this weekend.
