Leeds United have received multiple loan offers for midfielder Mateusz Klich despite DC United being in talks with the player.
According to Tomasz Wlodarczyk, Leeds have received loan offers from ‘other leagues’. This puts some doubt on Klich’s future, as the midfielder was set to sign a permanent deal with DC United. The 32-year old was absent from Leeds’ squad for their friendly against Monaco on Wednesday.
“Mateusz Klich very close to DC United, but the transfer is not closed yet. Talks with Leeds are ongoing. Mateusz is offered a three-year contract. From other leagues, there are mainly loans, so MLS is an attractive destination.” Wlodarczyk said on his personal twitter account.
This comes just days after Jesse Marsch also admitted that he would like Klich to stay at the club:
“There has been an enquiry for Mateusz but from all sides we’re still cautious about thinking that it might be time for him to leave. He’s still been really important here,”
At this point in time, nothing is confirmed yet for Mateusz Klich. With many offers on the table, as well as the prospect of staying at Elland Road, we’re in for an exciting January window.
