Leeds United are still figuring out which pieces to move this summer. The club know that they will sign some players, but who leaves may be more important to decide.
This week, the Whites have made two major decisions when it comes to player sales. First, Illan Meslier is being offered to clubs as Leeds try to figure out how to move on from him. The trio of Joe Gelhardt, Darko Gyabi and Sam Greenwood have also been put up for sale, with the club expecting to make some profit.
A decision is yet to be made on Sam Byram and Junior Firpo. The two defenders are in talks with the club over new deals.

There has been no word on Byram’s deal, but Leeds have reportedly offered Firpo new terms on his contract.
But now, there is a huge development. According to Corriere dello Sport (via Lazio News 24), Lazio have decided to move to sign Junior Firpo. Reports claimed that the player’s agent was in Italy over the last few weeks to offer his client’s services. AC Milan also added the 28-year to their summer plans. And it looks like Lazio have joined the race.
Firpo’s deal expires at the end of the month, and could move to Italy as a free agent.
Leeds should not be caught off guard
Leeds already have an offer on the table for Junior Firpo, and all reports indicate that it is down to the player to sign. The club have done their part when it comes to the contract negotiations. Now, the defender has to show his commitment.
If he does decide to sign a new deal, fine. But Leeds should not wait on him for long; because if he does decide to leave, transfer plans change. His departure means the club have to sort out a replacement for him ahead of next season.
