Leeds announce planned rail works

Leeds United have been informed that there will be on-going rail construction between York and Northallerton on Saturday, December 31, 2022.

The club website states that a replacement bus service will be running at that date, because there will be no trains operating between York and Northallerton. This will affect fans going to St James’ Park for Leeds’ Premier League match with Newcastle United at 3pm on that day.

The full statement:

“Leeds United have been advised ongoing rail works will be taking place between York and Northallerton on Saturday 31st December 2022.

There will be no trains operating between York and Northallerton, with a replacement bus service running instead.

Naturally, this will impact our away supporters getting to St James’ Park for our Premier League match with Newcastle United (3pm).

Supporters are advised by rail operators to make alternative travel arrangements and official coach travel from Elland Road is still available, by clicking the link below and logging in to your ticket account.”

Fans can make alternative travel arrangements by visiting the Leeds United website.
