A second Old Trafford thrashing in under a year has prompted many in the punditry world to doubt whether Marcelo Bielsa gets his tactics right against the big teams.
A familiar voice when it comes to downplaying Marcelo Bielsa spoke up once more as Gabby Agbonlahor had plenty to say about Leeds’ 5-1 defeat to Manchester United. “Leeds need to change their tactics for different games and they’ll get better results.”
He questioned how Bielsa could allow such a result to occur in back to back seasons to the same side. “How can you lose 6-2 last season and have the same tactics this season?” He went to on to call Leeds ‘naive’, a criticism they received plenty of times last season.
Agbonlahor finished by suggesting “Leeds need to change the way they play against bigger teams.” Agbonlahor seems to be forgetting that Leeds went unbeaten at home against the ‘big 6’ last season, and even beat Tottenham and Leicester as they propelled themselves to 9th in the table.
