Leeds begin another pursuit of frightening winger

Leeds United are looking to bring in a number of new players this summer as they look to cement their place in the top half of the Premier League table having finished ninth last term.

Victor Orta is apparently pursuing deals for a new left-back and a midfielder to give Leeds greater depth and strength across the field. Another position Orta is hoping to address in the coming weeks is the wing.

Last season Jack Harrison and Raphinha impressed on the flanks for the Whites. Harrison ended the campaign as the league’s most prolific English midfielder whilst Raphinha has even drummed up interest from the likes of Liverpool. However, it seems that Orta and Marcelo Bielsa want further depth and quality in the position as Leeds begin to challenge for European football.

According to reports, Leeds have again begun a pursuit of Wolves winger Adama Traore as Orta looks to bulk out the Leeds flanks in more ways than one.

Leeds have previously been interested in the Wolves winger including last December when they tried to make a move happen. That fell through but once again Leeds are stepping up their interest in the Spanish winger according to reports. This time their timing might just be perfect. Wolves are undergoing major changes following the departure of Nuno Espirito Santo and could be tempted into selling Traore – along with the likes of Ruben Neves and Pedro Neto – to fund a rebuild.

Traore averages over four dribbles per game in the Premier League and has tormented defenders in the past. His attacking style and energy makes him the ideal Bielsa winger and if he comes to Elland Road Leeds will have a frightening selection of wide men.
