Leeds defender leaves club on loan-to-buy deal

Leif Davis has today left Leeds to join Bournemouth on an initial loan move until the end of the season, with a view to a permanent transfer.

The 21-year-old has made 15 senior appearances at Elland Road since joining from Morecambe in 2018, including six last season as the club returned to the Premier League.

However, Davis has struggled to make a first-team spot his own and has featured regularly for Leeds’ Under-23s, helping them win the Premier League 2 Division 2 title in the last campaign.

He becomes the ninth player to exit the Whites this summer as the club continue to reshape their squad ahead of the new Premier League season in just 18 days time.
