Brighton coach Roberto De Zerbi says his team failed to win against Leeds “in a stupid way”.
The Seagulls took the lead twice against Leeds, but The Whites fought back to secure a point. Jack Harrison scored the last goal of the game from a quickly taken corner via Wilfred Gnonto and emphatically finished in the top corner.
De Zerbi was very disappointed in the result and says his team need to do better:
“It’s not a problem with the strikers. We concede the second goal [against Leeds] in a bad way, in a stupid way. In this moment we have to be more alert,” De Zerbi said on Tuesday afternoon.
“We made mistakes in the last 20 metres. I think we are fifth in the league for the number of goals and that is an incredible result and number for us. I 100% trust my players. I think we were unlucky and we have to be more precise and focused in these situations.”
Leeds are away to Wolves in the Premier League this weekend.
