The crowd at Elland Road was not pleased with Weston McKennie and made it known as he was subbed off in his final game.
The midfielder joined the club in the January window from Juventus on a loan deal. Reports claimed there was a €33 million buy option in the deal, but it looks unlikely Leeds will take the option.
Since his arrival, McKennie has featured in almost every game for Leeds, deputising for the injured Tyler Adams. Fans have been critical of the 24-year old since he arrived in England. In Leeds’ final game of the season, where they lost 4-1 to Tottenham, the fans showed hostility when the American was subbed off.
The crowd reportedly chanted ‘You fat bastard’ as he went to the dugout.

Safe to say, that will be the last Elland Road see of McKennie in the near future.
