Whilst Leeds fans will be disappointed they couldn’t have left Friday night’s game with all 3 points, many fans online were still impressed with the impact debutant Crysencio Summerville.
The Dutchman replaced goal scorer Raphinha in the second half of the game but was unable to turn the tide in Leeds’ favour, as the Whites were forced to share the points with struggling Newcastle. But most fans were impressed with how bright he looked once he came on.
One fan posted ‘Thought it was a promising debut for Summerville from where we were sitting in St James Library. Definitely showed he could hold his nerve’. Not only did they praise Summerville’s performance, but they also took a jab at the atmosphere around St James’ Park.
Another fan said ‘Decent debut yesterday and he looks to have made a big development physically and technically since leaving Feyenoord.’ Summerville will have to become a more physical player if he is to succeed in the Premier League, but given how much he’s improved already since joining last year, we think he will be able to develop this part of his game.
