Leeds United will be hoping they can bounce back from the crushing defeat to Fulham last week. This time around, the Whites will be taking on Wolves who are yet to record a point in the league this season.

Their manager Vitor Pereira has already warned that with the difficult fixtures out of the way, his side can now focus on getting points. Leeds will be visiting Molineux, hoping to win their first away game of the season. The Whites are yet to win a game on the road in all competitions, including a 5-0 loss to Arsenal and an exit from the EFL Cup to Sheffield Wednesday.

Daniel Farke is set to address the press as questions revolve around the fitness of some key players.

This summer, Leeds did some great work in recruitment for the defence and the midfield. The attack was not properly improved, and the signs can be seen on the pitch. Midfielder Ilia Gruev had this to say about how the Fulham result has affected the team:

“I think it’s going to be in our favour because I think we will get better and better from week to week.” he said speaking to BBC Radio Leeds.

“Also, of course, you will have some weeks or some game days where maybe you don’t perform like you have to, like you want to, maybe lose a game, but the whole process, I think, is more important, and I think we are in a good way.

“We want to stay calm out of these games now. We didn’t concede in two games, unfortunately, now in the last game against Fulham, in the last minute, it was a tough one, but we want to keep our structure, to play our football.”

The Bulgarian then made some shocking comments about the upcoming Wolves game, which might rub some fans the wrong way.

“Nobody expects us to go to Wolverhampton and score a lot of goals.

“Of course, if it happens, great, and it can happen, but we want to stick to our principles, we want to play our football, and then it will come, the goals will come, I’m sure.”

Daniel Farke needs to switch things up at Leeds United

After the experiment in attack last weekend failed to stop the goal drought, Daniel Farke has to go back to the drawing board. Leeds need a spark in the team in attack, but the German has questioned the quality of players in that area of the pitch.

Maybe a change in formation could unlock something to get a result this weekend.
