Daniel Farke and Leeds United will have their work cut out for them when they face Bournemouth this weekend. Andoni Iraola’s side will definitely be a different challenge to what the Whites faced last weekend.
Leeds went away to the Molineux and beat Wolves 3-1; it was the first time this season that Farke’s side had scored from open play. This weekend, they return to Elland Road where they will host a formidable Bournemouth side. The Cherries have not lost a league game since their season opener against Liverpool. Andoni Iraola’s side have also conceded just one goal in their last three games.
Leeds will be hoping that home advantage counts; this season they have beaten Everton and held Newcastle to a goalless draw at Elland Road.

Bournemouth will be missing a few players as confirmed by Iraola on Friday. Lewis Cook is a huge doubt for the game, as he is yet to recover from the shoulder injury he picked up a few weeks ago. Two players that have been definitely ruled out are Enes Unal and Adam Smith:
“I think it’s a very similar picture to the one we had last week.” Iraola said.
“Enes [Ünal] and Adam Smith are out, then we have the situation with Lewis Cook. He is still in some pain in the shoulder.
“He is training with us but we have to take a decision. We will have to see how he trains and see if he can travel with us, or if it’s better we leave it until next week. It’s a decision we have to take today after training.”
Leeds United injury news
Leeds will have to wait to find out the status of Jayden Bogle as well as Dan James. Daniel Farke has ruled Wilfried Gnonto out of the game on Saturday.
“Good news for Jayden, back in team training. Thank God it was not a broken toe, just a bruise.
“Sore for a few days but back in team training. Will be available unless anything happens in training.
“Good news with Dan James also progressing, yesterday for the first time in team training, he has a chance to be involved.
“Bad news with Willy Gnonto who won’t make it. Problems with his calf and wasn’t in team training so will definitely miss the match.”
It will definitely be a tough game, but Paul Merson has given a bold prediction on what could happen on Saturday.
