Leeds United are interested in signing Manchester City defender Taylor Harwood-Bellis on loan for the rest of the season, according to The Telegraph’s John Percy.
They are not alone in their pursuit of the 21-year-old however, with fellow relegated sides Leicester and Southampton also reported to be keen on acquiring Harwood-Bellis’ services.
A product of Manchester City’s academy, Harwood-Bellis has featured for his boyhood club at under-18s, under-23s and first team level. Yet the youngster found his opportunities understandably limited in a side with the quality of Man City’s, opting to spend last season on loan at Championship winners Burnley as a result.
Harwood-Bellis was a key component of the back line which saw Vincent Kompany’s side promoted to the Premier League, making 35 appearances during his time at Turf Moor. He was also a part of the England Under-21 international squad which took won the European Championships this summer.
Percy states that Leeds, Leicester and Southampton are seeking a loan deal for the young Englishman, yet Man City are also open to selling the defender “at the right price”.

Leeds boss Daniel Farke has made three additions to his defensive ranks so far this window through signing full-back Sam Byram, centre-back Joe Rodon and the versatile Ethan Ampadu – yet the manner in which his side gave up two goals to Cardiff City on the Championship’s opening day will no doubt concern the German.
The Whites continue their league campaign on Friday evening, when they host West Bromwich Albion at Elland Road.
