Leeds United youngster Harry Gray committed his future to the club as he penned a long-term deal recently. There were many rumours surrounding him in recent days.
Many suspected that he had not put pen to paper as the club failed to announce the new contract the week of his birthday. Gray has now put these claims to bed, and has dedicated his future to his boyhood club. He said it is his dream to play for the first team, and he is well on his way to do so.
“I definitely always believed in myself that I would play for Leeds. I have always wanted to do that but still got a long way to go.
“I have supported Leeds for as long as I know and went to all the games and stuff, but now I get to kind of live everyone’s dream as a fan and a player at the same time, there is nothing better.”

In the summer of 2024, Leeds decided to make business decisions as the club was stuck under PSR issues. They had to sell Archie Gray, Crysencio Summerville and Georginio Rutter to offload some figures off the books to remain stable. And recently, there have been whispers that Harry Gray could be the next big sale if Leeds fall into PSR trouble again.
The youngster is one of the most valuable names in the team, and already has major interest, so a sale would be financially beneficial. But Adam Pope has shut down any concerns over this possible scenario.
“The intention is that Harry sees his future at Leeds. who will hope to have secured another season in the Premier League and are not worrying about having to sell the family silver to stay within PSR parameters.” he said on BBC’s website.
There are many other options to sell ahead of youngster
A Harry Gray sale could provide immense value and a huge transfer fee, but realistically speaking there are a lot of first team stars who could be sold right now. Pascal Struijk drew offers from European clubs, and Joe Rodon has been impressive this season. The likes of Anton Stach, Ethan Ampadu and Jayden Bogle would command decent fees if made available. So Harry Gray should be the last name on the club’s mind.
