Leeds insider reveals fans will not be pleased with the 49ers due to one big reason

When the 49ers fully acquired Leeds United, they had a lot of goodwill for the fans who wanted to see the club in the spotlight again. After investment on the field and forging partnerships off the pitch, the Whites have seen the status of the club elevated.

The key decision to hire Daniel Farke in 2023 proved right as the Whites were recently promoted to the Premier League. In the past few years, their goodwill has faded a little bit. Especially on the pitch; they promised Leeds fans a big transfer window but underdelivered – the lack of investment in attack is hurting the club this season.

Another decision that did not go down very well with Leeds fans was purchasing the majority stake in Rangers. Many felt that this decision would mean less focus on their club.

Russell Martin was recently fired from the Scottish side; but the ownership oversaw a terrible hiring process. So many names rejected the job offer, and it took weeks before new boss Danny Rohl was appointed. Graeme Bailey revealed that some Leeds supporters were monitoring the situation down in Scotland, and will not have confidence in a decision like that if Daniel Farke is ever fired.

“His reputation hasn’t been aided by what’s happened in Glasgow, and personally, I find it curious that he was so intent on being part of it.

“When it comes to Leeds, I wouldn’t say mystique, he’s kept his head below the parapet, hasn’t he? Look, he hasn’t come in for any major criticism because of the way he’s dealt with Leeds.

“But, I think he’s made a misjudgment with the way he handled the Rangers thing, and now he has a target on his back. But. Leeds fans know, when it comes to the Farke situation, which I think before January is likely – not to come to a head, but it’s already starting – there’s going to be a few waves.”

Ownership is in a delicate situation with Daniel Farke

Everyone knows the pressure is on the Leeds boss now. The shock defeat to Burnley, Friday night’s game against West Ham is starting to look like must win game. And with the board meeting set to had soon, Daniel Farke has a lot of pressure on himself this week.
