According to The Athletic, Leeds United have “decided to listen to enquiries for Junior Firpo” this summer.
The fullback has had an up and down career since joining the club in 2021. His fitness and disciplinary issues often meant he was unavailable for large parts of the season. Firpo fell out of favor with the last few managers at Elland Road including Jesse Marsch and Sam Allardyce.
Now, Phil Hay is reporting that the club are looking to offload the 26-year old this summer:
“Defensively, Leeds require a left-back having decided to listen to enquiries for Junior Firpo.”
When asked about possible options, Hay said:
“They have been repeatedly linked with Ryan Manning, who is on a free transfer after parting company with Swansea City, and they are pondering bidding for Burnley’s Charlie Taylor, the defender who came through the academy at Elland Road.”
