One of Leeds’ priorities this summer was the addition of a new centre midfielder to provide further depth to their options in the centre of the park.
Reports have circled about a number of potential targets whether permanent or temporary with Victor Orta and Marcelo Bielsa happy to acquire a midfielder on a season long loan if they have to.
But, according to Football.London, Leeds’ search could soon be over as talks between United and Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher begin over a potential loan move.
Interestingly, Leeds acquired the services of Chelsea youngster Lewis Bate yesterday proving that business between the two rivals could be done.
It’s also said that Leeds “put together a very impressive presentation” to convince the young midfielder to join ahead of next season making the deal seem even more likely.
He already has experience of the top flight having made 30 Premier League appearances whilst on loan at West Brom last season. Thus, the 21-year-old could be useful asset and under Bielsa could be moulded into an exciting talent.
