Patrick Bamford was a decent option off the bench that year as he managed eight league goals. His contract was set to expire next year, with many believing that he would remain in the team due to his top flight experience. So before the season, Leeds and Bamford came to an agreement to terminate his contract. The 32-year old has been on the search for a new club since then, and was heavily linked with a move to Spain. Ultimately, the La Liga side in question turned down the option to sign the striker.

Leeds could not afford to have him on board, that is why he had to leave. But fans at the club will surely be hoping that he finds a club willing to work with him soon. At 32 years, he still could have a few seasons of football left in him.
