It has been over two months since Leeds United started their Premier League season. And the results have been mixed so far, with both positives and negatives.
Eight points from eight games might not be impressive, but at this point of the season, the points tally is better off than five other clubs in the league. Leeds suffered a shock defeat to Burnley over the weekend. The Clarets were a formidable opponent in the Championship, but many were hoping that this time around would be different. But Scott Parker’s side took their best chances in the game and eventually picked up all three points.
The reactions over the weekend were brutal, with some fans and pundits saying Daniel Farke’s job should be under pressure. Up next for the Whites is a tough run of games including clashes against Forest and West Ham.

The January window may be over a month away, but clubs have already started their planning in this crucial part of the season. After next month’s international break, teams have a long run of fixtures without interruption ahead of the middle of the season.
Africa Foot have exclusively revealed that Leeds United are in for Malian midfielder Issouf Sissoko. The report claims that the Whites have opened talks over a possible deal with Maccabi Tel Aviv. The 23-year old has already made 12 appearances this season including Europa League games.
Leeds do not need another midfielder
The Whites are already stocked in midfield this season, and some options do not even get playing time. Adding another midfielder to the current depth would not be ideal decision making. What Leeds need ahead of the January window is attackers; in recent games, the club have failed to turn results around because they simply cannot convert their chances. Just this Saturday against Burnley, Brenden Aaronson was guilty of missing a one-on-one which could have changed the flow of the game.
Getting in players who are prolific in front of goal can increase chances of grabbing a few points here and there in their bid for survival.
