Leeds United have one Premier League game this weekend before the international break. The Whites have already seen some players called up for the upcoming window.

Following Monday’s 4-1 thrashing of Newcastle, Leeds sit in fourth place in the league.

Daniel Farke’s side remain unbeaten to start the new season. They have recorded impressive results against Brentford, Brighton and Nottingham Forest in their first few games.

Their summer signings also seem to have hit the ground running.

James Trafford has impressed and Tarik Muharemovic recently made BBC’s Premier League Team of the Week. The other signings have also shown flashes in the early games.

Key players in Farke’s side have also continued where they left off last season.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has opened his account, and has been one of the best players for the club so far. Ethan Ampadu has also continued his rock solid partnership with Anton Stach in the middle of the park.

Stach has earned a call-up with Germany ahead of this international break.

He is set to return to the fold after many years away. The midfielder is not the only player at Elland Road who could be involved in action over the next three weeks.

TEAMtalk transfer correspondent Graeme Bailey has said that James Justin could be a surprise addition to Thomas Tuchel’s England squad. Dominic Calvert-Lewin is expected to be named in the team for this window.

Bailey says the England coaches ”like Justin a lot”, with his versatility said to be something they are looking at. The 28-year old has a goal and an assist in six apperances in all competitions so far.

Justin’s last England appearance came in a UEFA Nations League game against Hungary in 2022.

James Justin has grown to be an important player at Elland Road

Last summer, Justin arrived late in the window with many seeing him as a backup to Jayden Bogle.

Leeds signed him as cover at right back, but he also filled in a lot of positions. With the lack of cover for Gabriel Gudmundsson last year, Justin also deputized in some games.

And as the season went on, Daniel Farke used him in more positions.

Especially in the back three, where he was given a role as the right centre back, with freedom to enter the attacking third.
