Patrick Bamford will be out for up to three weeks following his recent groin surgery.
The striker has faced so many injuries over the past year, with his latest one ruling him out of Leed’s mid-season training camp in Spain. Bamford has only featured in 19 Premier League games since 2021, and the club was almost relegated during his absence at the end of the 2020/21 season.
Injury expert Ben Dinnery says Bamford’s latest injury could take a few weeks: “It’s the latest in a long line of setbacks for Patrick Bamford,” said Dinnery.
“Ideally, sort of typically we have seen these minor surgical procedures where players are maybe back in maybe two to three weeks on occasions.
“I think ideally, if Leeds had Patrick Bamford back before the turn of the year, then I think that’s a result, that’s a good win for them.”
Leeds resume their season on the 28th of December against Manchester City in the league.
