Leeds United are just a few weeks away from the end of the Premier League season. The Whites have fought well to put themselves in a great position for the final games of the season.
They face Tottenham up next, with the London side on the brink of relegation. Daniel Farke’s men will then go on to face Brighton, and a huge clash against West Ham on the final day of the season. With their safety not mathematically confirmed yet, there is still a lot of football to be played and points to be won.
Reports have emerged over the past few weeks that Leeds have already started plans for this summer. The club have been heavily linked with some players including the likes of Lois Openda, and most recently on-loan Birmingham City midfielder Jhon Solis.
Leeds United transfers may face delay this summer
Hidemasa Morita is another name that has popped up in the news in the past few days. Reports from Portugal claimed that the midfielder was headed to England at the end of the season. The 30-year old has been a long-term target of the club, and has been linked multiple times. It is believed that his preference is a Premier League move, which strengthened the rumours.
YEP is reporting that any potential transfer deals this summer will heavily be impacted by the FIFA World Cup. This is largely down to some clubs hoping their player’s value will rise during the tournament, and thus will hold on to him till after the competition. It is widely expected that a lot of summer deals will be concluded after the tournament ends in July.

Club rubbishes link to star midfielder
In the same report, it is stated the club sources have rubbished any potential move for Sporting CP midfielder Hidemasa Morita. It is believed that the Japanese international’s age and profile are not what the club are looking for in the market. The report also adds that Leeds are still putting together lists of potential targets ahead of this summer, and that no concrete names stand out as of now. Which likely means that any names linked with big moves between now and the end of the season should not be taken seriously. Daniel Farke and his men have three games to go, and will have a lot to play for in the Premier League.
