Leeds United have a very important game this weekend when they host Spurs at Elland Road. This will be the last matchday before the October international window.
Thomas Frank’s side will be wary of this game, as it has been over a year since they won the fixture just before an international break. In fact, Spurs lost to Bournemouth before the September break.
Frank’s side will not have it easy at Elland Road, Leeds are unbeaten there this season. They have recorded some great results against Everton, Newcastle and Bournemouth. Daniel Farke’s side could easily have won against the Cherries, but it was unfortunate that they conceded a late goal.

Leeds have some injury doubts ahead of the game this weekend, Dan James has officially been ruled out for up to a month. Daniel Farke also confirmed that Wilfried Gnonto is also a doubt for the game. Lucas Perri has returned to training, but Saturday may come too early for him.
Teenager Rhys Chadwick has been called up to train with the senior team this week, he can be seen in the latest Inside Training video on YouTube. The young midfielder is highly rated at Thorp Arch, and has drawn comparisons with Archie Gray. It is yet to be seen if he will be the next academy talent to make the first team squad for a Premier League game this season after Harry Gray. Daniel Farke has frequently called up some of the club’s youth players for first team training this season including Gray.
Youngster will have serious competition in his position
Chadwick might have been involved in senior training this week, but there is a very slim chance he actually makes the squad for the Spurs game. All six of Daniel Farke’s preferred midfielders are available this weekend. It will be difficult to see the youngster get a chance ahead of Tanaka, Stach, Gray, Ampadu, Gruev or Longstaff.
Speaking of Harry Gray, Daniel Farke has also confirmed that the youngster could be a doubt for this weekend as he has a hip problem. He could add to the shortage of attackers after Dan James and Wilfried Gnonto’s latest updates.
