Daniel Farke has been the subject of much speculation throughout Leeds United’s Premier League campaign so far.
The German was reportedly under threat of being sacked when Leeds were in the midst of a poor run of form back in November.
However, Farke has since adapted his style to suit his squad perfectly, with Leeds being extremely competitive upon their return to the top flight as they sit 15th with just six games remaining.
However, with Farke set to enter the final year of his contract at Leeds in the summer, speculation is beginning to build as to how much longer he will be in charge at Elland Road.
Former Manchester United scout expects Leeds to stick with Daniel Farke
To ensure Farke keeps his job as Leeds boss, he will know that he must keep the Whites in the top flight this season.
And with United sitting six points clear of the drop zone with winnable home games against Wolves and Burnley on the horizon, Leeds look set to accomplish the goal set out to Farke and his team before the season started.
For this reason, ex-Manchester United chief scout Mick Brown expects Farke to be in the dugout next season as Leeds aim to establish themselves in the Premier League further.
Speaking to Football Insider, Brown said, “Leeds record has been fantastic of late. They’ve only lost two games in their last ten, and when you see the way they played against Man United compared to other relegation-threatened sides, they’re worlds apart.
“They’ll be alright now, they played very, very well against Man United and collectively as a team they have enough to get over the line. That’s thanks in large part to Daniel Farke and the job he’s done there this season.
“I know we spoke before about whether he could be sacked, the fans weren’t happy with a couple of things, and the board had some question marks.”
Brown continued: “Those suggestions can be scrapped now. I expect they’ve already made a decision, and they’ll want to stick with him next season. If he can keep up this form with them being hard to beat and maybe add a bit of quality to the squad, I’m sure he’s the right man to keep taking them forward.”
Considering how well Leeds have done this season, Farke has more than earned the right to keep his job at Leeds next season, where hopefully their safety will be ensured well in advance of April.

Data suggests Leeds should stick with Daniel Farke
Although finishing 15th would be a remarkable achievement for United this season, Opta’s data suggests Leeds have been unlucky so far and should be significantly higher in the league table than where they currently find themselves.
According to Opta’s expected Premier League table, Leeds should be sitting in 11th place.
- According to Opta’s data, Leeds should have 46.7 points by this stage of the season, but instead they find themselves on 36
- The data suggests Leeds should have scored six more goals than they have so far this campaign
- The Whites have also conceded 49 goals this season, when the data suggests they should have only conceded 45.9
This suggests that, if the 49ers go out and back Farke in the summer and bring multiple quality additions to Elland Road, then he is more than capable of overseeing a mid-table finish in the Premier League with Leeds.
