Leeds to battle Arsenal for Euros 2020 finalist

It’s been a big week at Elland Road. Junior Firpo became a Leeds player, Ezgjan Aliosku left the club having failed to agree a new deal whilst youngster Sean McGurk joined the club’s Under 23 side to add even more quality to Leeds’ youth ranks.

But according to reports, Leeds are far from done when it comes to incomings this summer with the club still expected to bring in a high-profile midfielder and a winger.

Some reports are even linking the club to one of the players expected to feature in Sunday’s Euros Final.

23-year-old midfielder Manuel Locatelli has been one of the stars for Italy this summer featuring in four of Italy’s six games whilst scoring two goals.

The former AC Milan star now plies his trade at Sassuolo but could be pried away for as little as £34 million according to reports.

However, Leeds aren’t the only English side sniffing around with Arsenal also heavily linked with the box-to-box midfielder.

If Leeds can conjure up the money it would take to make the deal happen, they simply have to. He would be the ideal addition to their midfield ranks due to his quality going forwards as well as in defence.
