Having secured the services of left-back Junior Firpo last week, Victor Orta’s attentions have quickly shifted onto other problem positions.
A shortlist of goalkeepers who could replace Kiko Casilla has been drafted whilst the pursuit of a new winger has stepped up a gear.
Helping there cause is a recent report that one of their main targets has been made available to loan this season.
In their quest for a new winger, United turned to the impressive Josip Brekalo from Wolfsburg. The winger impressed in last year’s Bundesliga scoring seven goals and racking up a number assists making him the ideal transfer target and it now seems a move could be more likely after a recent report.
According to Calciomercato. It, Wolfsburg are quite happy to see the winger initially leave on loan this summer before allowing him to leave permanently next year for a fee of £15.4 million through an obligation to buy.
However, United have their work cut out for them if they want to secure the services of the 23-year-old with the report suggesting that Atletico Madrid, Fiorentina and Inter Milan are all chasing the dynamic winger.
