In football there are some lines players shouldn’t cross. You shouldn’t ditch Barcelona for Real Madrid, leave Liverpool for Everton or abandon Celtic for Rangers.
A similar rule applies to West Yorkshire rivals Leeds United and Huddersfield Town however Leeds look set to break that rule with a move for Lewis O’Brien.
According to Sun journalist Alan Nixon, the Huddersfield midfielder is near the top of Leeds’ short list as they look to add depth to their impressive squad. However, the Whites have yet to make a move for the 22-year-old midfielder.

The rumour is a sign of the times. Four years ago, Huddersfield were plying their trade in the Premier League and Leeds were struggling for a way out of the second tier. Now, Leeds could be set to poach one of Huddersfield’s brightest young stars as they look to secure European football next season on the back of their ninth-place finish in 2021.
The move shouldn’t surprise those who know Victor Orta’s plans for the summer. According to reports, Leeds United want a midfielder to add further depth and versatility to their options in the centre of the park, and O’Brien appears to be one of the options Orta is considering to get the Whites further up the league next term.
