Things are starting to hot up at Elland Road as preparations get underway for the new Premier League season in the shadows of this summer’s Euros.
Victor Orta has been a busy man and recent reports have suggested that the signings of a new left-back in Javi Galan and even a new centre-back could be concluded within the next month. Meanwhile, at the other end of the spectrum, a deal to bring in a new winger may take until the end of the window to be concluded.
However, according to the Football Insider, Leeds could be set to unveil three new signings next week as the year ticks into July. Around the footballing world, the first week in July is a busy time as contracts expire and players are drafted in for free such as in the case of Georginio Wijnaldum and Memphis Depay and it seems Leeds United are also ready to join in on the fun.
Next week promises to be the week Jack Harrison finally becomes a Leeds player after three seasons on loan at Elland Road from Manchester City. The winger was brilliant last season and was the highest scoring English midfielder in the Premier League justifying Leeds’ decision to include an option to buy in last year’s loan agreement.
Leeds have also been busy when it comes to younger players. United have been rumoured to be in for the likes of Wigan’s Sean McGurk to enhance their youth teams. It seems a deal for him may occur a little further down the line but Leeds are still set to unveil two very youthful signings next week Football Insider reported.
Birmingham City striker Amari Miller who is just 18 years of age is set to join for an initial fee of £200,000. Meanwhile, United are also set to announce the signing of 16-year-old Bradford City keeper Darryl Ombang as Leeds get ready for the long-term future as well as next season.
