Leeds United finally got their chance to celebrate promotion in front of their home fans. After thrashing Stoke City last week, Daniel Farke’s men followed it up with another big win on Monday night.
A 6-0 win is a hard result to top, but Leeds came pretty close against Bristol City. Unlike the last game where they scored five goals in one half, the Whites scored just once in the first 45 minutes. Ao Tanaka gave the club the lead just before half time. In the second half, Leeds scored three goals, with substitute Largie Ramazani coming off the bench to score twice.
Daniel Farke’s men have one more game to seal the league title this season.
But after gaining promotion, the focus has been on the players, and most importantly possible transfers. Leeds now have to figure out which players to sign, and which ones to let go ahead of the Premier League next season. Paul Merson has already ruled out Leeds’ chances of survival.

One player who has been much maligned this season is Joel Piroe. The striker has scored 19 goals – the most for Leeds, and in the Championship. But every game comes with new criticism for the 25-year old.
On Monday night, Piroe played an almost perfect game. Despite not scoring, every touch was meaningful, and he set up Gnonto’s goal in the second half. An assist Andy Hinchliffe says was ”Premier League quality”:
“That is Premier League quality from Joel Piroe. Yes, the finish is great, but the touch, the turn, the pass, absolutely magnificent from Piroe.
“When you get him on the ball… that’s what he can do… It’s devastating.” Hinchcliffe said on Sky Sports.
Piroe now has four goals and an assist in his last two games for the club.
Is Joel Piroe ”Premier League quality”?
It is honestly hard to tell when it comes to Piroe, on one hand, he has 74 goals in the last four seasons. On the other hand, there are just too many stretches where he is completely anonymous.

Before scoring four goals against Stoke City, the striker had failed to score a league goal since March. And his all round game has frustrated Leeds fans multiple times. Nobody can tell if he will be good in the Premier League, but one thing is for certain – the club need another striker.
