The Whites have already signed Lukas Nmecha on a free transfer this summer, along with three more players, but the former Wolfsburg striker is not seen as a starting number 9. They are pushing to bring in one more striker at least to bolster their attacking options in the next few weeks.
Leeds have been considering moves for Callum Wilson and Dominic Calvert-Lewin, and they have not abandoned their pursuit of Fulham’s Rodrigo Muniz, despite his £50m price tag in the ongoing summer transfer window.

Leeds United are in the race to sign Real Madrid’s Gonzalo Garcia, along with West Ham and Brentford
The 21-year-old striker spent most of last season with the Real Madrid B side, but caught the attention of observers with his performance in the Club World Cup.
He scored four times in six appearances during the tournament, including against Juventus, Borussia Dortmund and Red Bull Salzburg in the United States.
Real Madrid are yet to decide whether Garcia will remain part of Xabi Alonso’s squad for next season, but according to TBR Football, he has attracted Premier League.
Leeds are among the Premier League clubs who have registered their interest in signing the striker on loan from Real Madrid this summer.
The Whites were impressed with his performances during the Club World Cup and believe he could do a job for the team in the Premier League next season.
Brentford and West Bam have also registered their interest in the striker, and they are waiting for Real Madrid to decide whether they want him in the Spanish capital next season.
Garcia is worth a punt for Leeds
The young Spanish forward has already proven in the Club World Cup that he is not afraid of the big stage and has proven his scoring acumen in a major tournament.
A product of the Real Madrid academy, there is no doubt about his technical qualities, and he should fit Daniel Farke’s system at Elland Road if he joins the club.
Garcia also spent most of last season playing as a winger for the Real Madrid B side, and is the kind of versatile forward the Leeds boss is a big fan of.
A loan move to Elland Road would not be the worst piece of business, as Leeds would lose little money if the gamble doesn’t work out.
