The defender was deputizing for the injured Junior Firpo. In the second half, Daniel Farke’s men managed to turn the game around.

Wilfried Gnonto equalized just after half time. Leeds fans will be frustrated that a perfectly legal goal was ruled offside during the game. But eventually, the club won the game after a moment of magic from Manor Solomon in the 91st minute.

Just days after sealing promotion, reports came out that Daniel Farke would be sacked in the summer. Claims that the ownership were not comfortable with him in charge next season dominated the headlines. Farke fired back, winning the league and hitting 100 points this season.

Now, afters weeks of speculation, a decision has been made. Leeds United chairman Paraag Marathe came out to address the fans and speak on Daniel Farke’s future:

“I have ended the speculation – he is my man,”

“My plan was always to come and speak to you all right after the season concluded, and so that time is now, and I want to tell you all that I’m very excited to run it back with Daniel.”

The right decision

With Daniel Farke, Leeds have finally found a replacement for Marcelo Bielsa. How the German has related to the club, fans and players has been a joy to watch. This season has been a remarkable achievement for Farke, especially after losing three of his best players last summer. Elland Road will surely be celebrating this decision.
