Leeds United are making real progress in the transfer market as they gather pace to add to the four new players they have already signed ahead of their return to Premier League football next season, which begins next month.
The Championship winners have already added depth to their attack and defence through four new signings, and the focus has now shifted to adding more power to their midfield ahead of their top-flight return in the coming weeks. Daniel Farke is aware that he needs a more robust midfield to survive in the Premier League.
Leeds have an agreement in place to sign Newcastle United star Sean Longstaff for £15m, and the 27-year-old is expected to complete his move to Elland Road by the weekend as they push to get him through a medical soon.
Their pursuit of Anton Stach has also gathered pace, and an agreement over personal terms is in place between Leeds and the German midfielder’s representatives over a transfer.

Anton Stach wants Leeds United despite interest from another Bundesliga club

Stach is currently in pre-season preparations with the rest of the Hoffenheim squad, but he seems certain to move on from the German club this summer.
Hoffenheim are prepared to sell him, but they were hoping to hold an auction for his services due to interest from VfB Stuttgart, as well as Leeds’ interest.
However, an agreement is in place between Leeds and Stach, and according to German reporter Florian Plettenberg, Hoffenheim feel Stach has made up his mind about joining the newly promoted Premier League.
Despite interest from Stuttgart, it seems Stach wants to play in the Premier League, and would favour a move to Leeds over any other option this summer.
Leeds are in talks with Hoffenheim over a deal, but there is still no agreement between the two clubs for Stach to move to Elland Road this summer.
The German club want in excess of £17m before agreeing to sell the midfielder in the ongoing summer transfer window.
Stach will get straight into the Leeds team
It seems Leeds have managed to convince the player to move to Elland Road despite interest from other clubs in the Bundesliga, and that is a credit to sporting director Adam Underwood, the recruitment team and manager Farke.
The German midfielder is a world-class operator, and the Leeds boss is aware that he will instantly elevate the overall quality of his midfield in the Premier League.
It doesn’t matter who drops out, but Stach will straight get into the Leeds midfield because of his ability to intercept and break up play while moving the ball forward.
He will also add a physicality to the Leeds midfield that is missing at the moment, and it seems the Whites won’t get bullied so easily next season.
Just get it done and stop poncing about. We have other fish to fry
