Leeds United have a tough week ahead with the transfer deadline up next Monday. The club did most of their business very early in the transfer window, but some changes have now forced new decisions.
Missing out on Igor Paixao and Rodrigo Muniz steered the course of Leeds’ summer. Since then, the club has signed Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Noah Okafor, two players that were not first choice targets. Daniel Farke has asked for reinforcements this week, and after the result away to Arsenal, the Whites could quicken the process.
Leeds are already active at the start of the week, trying to complete a deal for James Justin. The Whites are also in the process of sending Largie Ramazani out on loan to Spain.

A midfield signing could be on the cards this week, with an injury to Ethan Ampadu set to be a huge blow. Ao Tanaka also picked up a knock this weekend and is yet to be assessed.
Bild are reporting that Daniel Farke could look to his old player Julian Weigl this week. According to reports, the German could be available for as low as £5million. Gladbach Sporting director Roland Virkus has revealed that the player has asked to leave the club:
“The important thing was: He asked us to release him for talks. We are also in talks. That’s true. But that doesn’t mean he won’t return to the squad if they fail. That’s open.”
Weigl ticks a lot of boxes
It is unfortunate that the club have gotten some injuries. But Julian Weigl could be a very good temporary option; he is still at a good age and comes with a lot of experience. The German has also played under Daniel Farke and is used to his style of play.
For a fee as low as £5million, Leeds should totally consider a move.
